WORLDWEBFORUM 2017
On January 25th, the Fintech Vertical of the WORLDWEBFORUM took place at Stage One in Zurich Oerlikon. Blockchain was the special focus of this year’s fintech vertical, organized by Leonteq and EY with the help of Swiss Life, Swisscom and Credit Swiss. The Agenda showed the who is who of the actual Blockchain World amongst them Imran Gulamhuseinwala from EY, Leanne Kemp from Everledger, John McLean from the Hyperledger Team at IBM, Rik Willard Founder & CEO from Agentic Group and many more. Eric van der Kleij from DV2C and founder of Level 39, was the host and led through the Day. The event started with a keynote and panel discussion about Crypto Currencies & Regulations. After the break we could listen to two very interesting keynotes about new business models and was followed by a 2nd panel discussion on collaborative disruption.
Altogether it was a very interesting evening with deep insights from blockchain experts and stimulated discussions. “The WWF’s fintech day demonstrates Switzerland’s ambitions to become a leading fintech center with international reputation” Thomas Puschmann.
